The purpose of Tau Kappa Epsilon is to contribute to the advancement of society through the personal growth of our members and service to others.
The Blueprint represents a modern approach to today's challenges. It is based on the need to prepare young people for success not only with the values of TKE, but also a tangible set of life skills. These two elements work hand-in-hand so that the men of TKE may contribute to the advancement of today's society.
TKE is a large and diverse fraternity, and even within chapters, there is a diversity of backgrounds, concerns, and goals. Recognizing this, the Blueprint is definitely not a one-size-fits-all program. It is a flexible, self-paced, personal development experience that can be tailored to a chapter's particular circumstances within a structure consistent with the purpose and mission of the Fraternity.
The program is broken up into four levels, beginning the undergraduate process with initiation and beginning the alumni process upon graduation. It offers a variety of self-development exercises such as attending a resume-building workshop with other fraters, developing a workout plan, and participating in community service. The goal is to complete the four modules as to provide a solid base for entering the "real world." The program is unique on campus in that many other fraternities do not have a structured model to follow throughout their undergraduate tenure at the University of Wisconsin.
With the Blueprint in place, the TKEs have enjoyed a new avenue for pursuing a fun and valuable college experience.
