Red Carnation Ball at the Edgewater

April 26, 2008 - The TKEs enjoyed the outstanding accomodations the Edgewater had to offer including an amazing view of Lake Mendota. Special thanks to Steven John who coordinated the event.

TKE and Alpha Phi

April 16-18, 2008 - The TKEs paired with Alpha Phi to present "Better Than Citizen Kane" as part of Humorology 2008. The cast received the award for Best Costumes and the Spirit Award. Chris DeSilva was named Best Male Vocalist. Special thanks to all family and friends who attended and provided support throughout the process.

90th Anniversary a Success

October 20th, 2007 - Many alumni and guests were present at the 90th anniversary rededication banquet. TKE CEO Kevin Mayeux was in attendance as well, giving a heart-felt speech offering words of both encouragement and praise. This was a good event for alumni, actives, and new members alike. Planning for the 100th anniversary has yet to commence.

TKE HOUSE BEING RENOVATED!

June 23, 2007 - Huge renovations are being done at 216 Langdon Street this summer. The men of TKE are extremely excited for the renovation's completion in mid-August. TKE Alumni Andrew Simon and Dustin DiMarco are overseeing the changes. New features will include completely new bathrooms, new carpets throughout the house, laundry on each floor, a newly furnished front room, as well as many other alterations to preserve the TKE house for many generations to come.

May 23, 2007 - The men of TKE were delighted to find out that they will be paired-up with the ladies of Alpha Phi sorority in Humorology for the upcoming year. The last time TKE was with Alpha Phi for Humorology was 2004. Chris DeSilva and Tom Walsh will be returning as directors. This past year, TKE was paired with Pi Beta Phi and their production was awarded the "Funniest Show" out of all of the 6 fraternity/sorority pairings.

TKE Rocks Multiple Events at Greek Week 2007

April 29, 2007 - Along with team-mates Delta Delta Delta sorority, and Lambda Theta Phi Latin Fraternity, Inc., TKE captured a well-fought second place trophy at Greek Week 2007. With their 430 points accumulated throughout the week, TKE may have missed out on first place by only 20 points, but they were well over 120 points above the 3rd place team (303 points)! TKE and their team-mates were able to capture first or second place amongst all UW Greeks in almost every activity including Tom Walsh in the dance contest, Brian Fishbach in the CrazyLegs race, the t-shirt contest, the Bascom Hill banner contest, and a blow-out in participation in the blood drive.

Fishbach Coordinates Greeks, Participates in Crazy Legs Run

April 22, 2007 - Frater Brian Fishbach, as President of All Greek Council, coordinated all fraternity men and sorority women in participating in the annual Crazy Legs Classic 8k race . This was the first time that Greek Week points were earned by Greek participants who were able to finish the 5-mile endurance test throughout the UW-Madison campus. Also, for the 2nd year in a row, the race went right down Langdon Street, to the delight of a crowd of TKEs gathered on the front lawn. This was the 4th time Fishbach, a former High School Track and Cross Country captain, participated in the 15,000-person race.

Red Carnation Ball Simply Amazing

April 15, 2007 - The annual Red Carnation Ball took place April 13 at the Inn at the Park hotel on the Wisconsin State Capitol square! Epiprytanis Brad Folkers planned an amazing banquet, and the TKEs and their guests spent most of the evening tearing up the dance floor. TKE alumni Ian Martin and David Cramer traveled for this year's formal from New York and Chicago, respectively. Award winners for this year:

TKE & Pi Beta Phi on stage in Humorology

April 2007 - Director Chris DeSilva, Tom Walsh and Brad Folkers have led TKE and the ladies of Pi Beta Phi to the final show for Humorology 2007! The cast has been having alot of fun at rehersals to produce a stellar production! The show will take place April 19-21 at the Memorial Union Theatre. TKE & Pi Beta Phi Win "Funniest Show" at Humorology

April 22, 2007 - The men of TKE, along with the ladies of Pi Beta Phi, rocked the Humorology stage at the Memorial Union Theatre throughout the week of April 18-21. Their show, Always a Bridesmaid, Never A Bride, won "Funniest Show", Most Spirited Cast, and Lesley Finnegan of Pi Beta Phi was awarded "Funniest Female". The months of practice came to fruition as the laughter roared from the audience each night at the story of an old middle-school secret admirer who attempts to stop the wedding of her long-lost crush. Many TKE alumni came back to town to cheer on the TKEs and Pi Beta Phi at the big show. In total, Humorology raised tens of thousands of dollars for chairity. DeSilva Scores Hat Trick

February 15, 2007 - Frater Chris DeSilva scored three times, bringing the TKEs to a much-earned victory over their opponent in intramural Floor Hockey on Sunday. The former high school long-snapper had assists with Dave Barr, Tom Walsh, and Adam MacDougall. Outstanding performances at goalie by Matthew Meeker and David Meyer.

2nd Floor Dominates 3rd Floor in Annual Gridiron Classic

December 2006 - The 2nd floor TKEs routed the 3rd floor in a blizzard of a football game, 49-17. The friged James Madison Park shores on Lake Mendota did not prove to be a challange for Bengal-die hard, Brad Folkers, as he emulated his idol, Chad "Ocho Cinqo" Johnson with his 4 touchdown receptions. Second floor touchdowns also scored by David Meyer, and Luke Straka.



Lambda TKE Alum Confirmed to Lead United States Mint

Frater Edmund. C. Moy, an alumnus of the Lambda Chapter of TKE at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, was sworn in as the 38th Director of the United States Mint. As Director of the United States Mint, Mr. Moy leads the world's largest manufacturer of coins, medals, and numismatic (coin) products. In Fiscal Year 2005, the United States Mint manufactured more than 15 billion circulating coins, and generated revenue of $1.77 billion and contributed $775 million in earnings to the United States Treasury.
